Senior Scientist

Senior Scientist (54539BR)

A highly motivated and skilled cancer biologist is sought to join the Tumor Genomics group to lead research projects in biomarker discovery in cancer. The successful candidate will be involved in fundamental research related to the mechanisms of DNA repair, apoptosis control, and intracellular signaling. He/she will work on identification of genomic and epigenomic alterations in cancer cells, leading to discovery of cancer biomarkers. He/she will utilize data from high-throughput genomics screens to design, conduct, and interpret functional genomics experiments in order to establish functional involvement of candidate genomic markers in tumorigenesis and drug sensitivity/resistance.

Requirements
·PhD in molecular/cell biology or a related discipline
·Demonstrated cancer research experience and an excellent publication record
·Solid knowledge of signal transduction and mechanisms of carcinogenesis
·Experimental skills in cell biology and functional genomics
·Data mining and bioinformatics expertise are a strong plus
